Loibl, Sr. is elected the first president of the Pest Control Operators of California (PCOC), helping set the professional standards the industry still uses today.
The Hydrex name is born
Robert B. Loibl, Jr. founds Hydrex Pest Control Co., Inc. in Los Angeles, the name that still answers the phone a lifetime later.
Inventor in the family
Loibl, Jr. develops the B-Gone line of pest control products and earns patents on a vermin exterminator device and the Pestron insecticidal-vapor machine, methodologies still used in the industry today.
San Diego incorporates
On July 6, Hydrex Pest Control Co. formally incorporates in San Diego County, planting the flag in America's Finest City at what's now 9530 Dowdy Drive.
Orange oil for termites
Hydrex embraces D-Limonene, a renewable orange-oil treatment that eliminates drywood termites on contact. No tenting. No moving out. A greener option when one is warranted.
